The National and International Arbitration Center of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (LCC) Arbitration Centre was incorporated into the List of Centers that organize and manage the Dispute Resolution Boards of the State Contracting Supervising Agency (OSCE, per its acronym in Spanish).
On April 30, 2021, the National and International Arbitration Center of the Lima Chamber of Commerce was included in the List of Centers that organize and manage the Dispute Resolution Boards ("DRB") of the State Contracting Supervisory Body.
The DRB is an alternative method of prevention and resolution of conflicts used in construction projects that, unlike mediation or arbitration, works in real time, that is, at the same time as the development of the work, preventing it from being affect or paralyze.
The DRB has two fundamental objectives: (i) to prevent conflicts that may arise on the construction site and, (ii) in the event of a conflict, the DRB has the power to resolve it efficiently, through the issuance of binding decisions for the parties.
The Center will intervene in the constitution of the DRB and will coordinate their actions, supervising that they will fulfill and carry out their functions in an efficient, impartial and independent manner.
